A
Healthy Philosophy
EarthWellTech, Inc. is
a specialty chemical house dedicated to developing,
manufacturing, and distributing the safest cleaning
solutions possible. Our goal is to increase
awareness of the effects of hazardous chemical
cleaning agents on both personal health and
the overall well-being of the planet. To that
end, we have developed an extensive line of
safe, cost-efficient and effective alternatives
for industrial and consumer use. As new chemical
ingredients and technologies are made available,
we continue to add new and safer products to
meet the needs of our customers.
Cleaning
Products For The Planet & Humanity
The company qualifies
as a small business that offers a full line
of environmentally friendly and user-safe products.
EarthWellTech's products are beyond compare
for their exceptional cleaning, degreasing,
and polishing capabilities while offering an
incredible ecotox profile. Our products are:
All
of our products are formulated in accordance
with current Federal safety regulations and
with environmentally-preferable purchasing guidelines,
and are Green Seal (GS-37) compliant. Most importantly,
those who have tried our products have experienced
unparalleled success.
Health
And Safety Initiatives
The idea of green has
shifted and broadened into issues of safety
as well as the environment. The enactment of
Right-To-Know laws has brought this new awareness
into factories and offices, as the syndrome
known as Multiple Chemical Sensitivity has become
a permanent part of the news media. No longer
can companies afford to ignore complaints from
their workers of illnesses due to the use of
hazardous chemicals or the inhalation of toxic
fumes. The potential for a lawsuit is too real
and the impact too costly.
Biobased products are
composed, in whole or significant part, of biological
or renewable domestice agricultural materials,
in accordance with the 2002 Farm Bill and Executive
Orders 13101 and 13134. This technology converts
renewable farm resources, such as corn, soy,
wheat, and other vegetables, feedstocks and
sugars, into an expanding array of exciting
new chemicals. Biobased products have the potential
to improve sustainability of our natural resources,
environmental quality, and our national security,
while competing economically.
As part of the 2002 Farm Bill,
the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act (FSRIA)
was signed into law. A goal of that legislation
is to increase the government’s purchase
and use of biobased products. As part of the
FSRIA mandate, the USDA was directed to develop
and implement a comprehensive program for designating
biobased products. Federal agencies are required
by FSRIA to purchase biobased products over
their petroleum-based counterparts, as long
as the biobased materials are reasonably available,
reasonably priced, and comparable in performance.

A Dynamic
Technology
Dynamic
Surface Tension
Water, the liquid most
commonly used for cleaning, has a property called
surface tension. In the cleaning process, surface
tension must be reduced so water can spread
and wet surfaces. Chemicals that are able to
do this effectively are called surface-active
agents, or surfactants.
To reduce
surface tension and enhance cleaning, the surfactant
molecules have to migrate to the soil/solution
interface, and this takes some finite amount
of time. Given enough "dwell" time, the formulation
will eventually reach equilibrium (static) surface
tension. This may take several seconds or even
minutes depending on the type of surfactant
and the concentration.
Dynamic
surface tension is the funtion which determines
how rapidly a surfactant reduces the surface
tension of a solution. Dynamic surface tension
differs from static surface tension (used by
most common cleaners) in a number of respects,
one of which measures how quickly a surfactant
moves to the soil/solution interface. This interaction
creates a new interface which is then wetted
by the surfactant, creating a "rolling" effect.
EarthWellTech's line of "Dynamic"
products are formulated with superior dynamic
surface tension surfactants and it is this feature
that accounts for their outstanding performance
characteristics.
Non-Emulsifiers
An emulsifier is a surface-active
agent that promotes the formation of an emulsion.
An emulsion is a stable and homogenous mixture
of two liquids which do not normally mix in
water, such as vegetable oil and water. Used
in cleaners and detergents, emulsifiers hold
microscopic oil droplets in suspension.
EarthWellTech’s
line of EarthWell Solutions™ dynamic and
non-emulsifying products use an initial emulsifying
action that releases oils, grease and grime
into the cleaning solution. Subsequently, however,
soil particles separate out quickly and easily
from the wastewater stream. This makes these
products ideal for use as a replacement for
hazardous solvents in meeting ever-restrictive
recycling and disposal regulations.
